Today we share with you the testimony of Cynthia, a 29-year-old woman who came to Inebir with a complicated case of low ovarian reserve at only 29 years old, but with the dream of becoming a mother:
I've wanted to send this letter for a long time, but I don't know why I feel the need to do it now more than ever. Four years have passed…
First of all, I wanted to thank the entire INEBIR team from the bottom of my heart, from the first to the last, you are incredible, wonderful!
- From the very first consultation with Dr. Pedro Gutiérrez, who spent two and a half hours explaining absolutely everything to me in detail with patience, calmness, serenity, and above all, hope, I can only say: thank you! I left there with a surge of energy I hadn't felt in two years. I regained hope that I could achieve my dream of becoming a mother. Dr. Gutiérrez was also the one who retrieved my eggs in the operating room.
- Thanks to Dr. Carolina Vega, she was the one who transferred that diamond to me (I call her that because she shone so brightly and she was my daughter). With the energy and confidence she conveyed, I knew I was still in the best hands. I'll always cherish the sincere and heartfelt hug I gave her on the last day. Thank you!
- To the embryologist who chose one of the two embryos I obtained during the cycle. I'll always remember her saying, "I'm going to give you the one I like best!" I remember she showed it to me on a screen, and it was like a flower… Incredible! Thank you!
- To the entire nursing team who treated me with incredible kindness and warmth. To the receptionists, the orderlies, the anesthesiologist. Everyone. Thank you!
Thanks to your team, we did it, all of us together. Thank you for your patience, kindness, and professionalism; I was able to become a mother. You gave me my life partner, and that is priceless.
Now I want to address those mothers and fathers who come to INEBIR, psychologically exhausted and clinging to their last ounce of hope. My case was very complicated. I have a low ovarian reserve at only 29 years old, very few eggs, low quality, and it's almost impossible to ovulate… They immediately advised me to try IVF, and to be honest, it was a very difficult IVF process because with each step I took, the chances of success diminished. First, ovarian stimulation: I was given tons of hormones, and only 5 follicles grew. Of the 5 oocytes, 4 were mature, and only 2 fertilized. The good news: TWO GRADE A EMBRYOS! It was a long road, but there they were. I was defeated by so much bad news, but I was supported by this wonderful team who always held onto hope, and they didn't let me down. They transferred one embryo, and there it stayed, attached to me in the same position they left it in, until it was a baby that moved a lot.
I don't know how to explain the gratitude, the immense happiness… Yes, it's incredibly emotionally and physically draining, but it's a thousand times worth it. So my message to all those couples who are currently going through this process is that no matter how dark things seem, no matter how slim the chances appear: never stop believing because it is possible!
Thank you for making the sun shine on my gray days, thank you for believing in me when I didn't, thank you for giving me this beautiful little girl, thank you for bringing me back to life, thank you for everything, family. THANK YOU INEBIR!!!!
