Virtual Encounter - Endometriosis

Virtual Endometriosis Meeting: Ask us your questions

At Inebir we are experts in Endometriosis And we have a Unit that has helped improve the quality of life for many women.

Even today, the delay in diagnosing patients, the lack of experts and research, and the lack of awareness of the disease among a large part of the population remain surprising.

In March, coinciding with World Endometriosis Day, we had scheduled the 2nd Inebir Endometriosis Meeting. This meeting was to feature Dr. Navarro and Joana Segovia, a nutritionist and patient at our center.

The initiative was halted because, during the months of March and April, staying home is the best thing we can do for our health.

However, now that we have more time than ever, we want to take advantage of the possibilities that technology offers us to stay close to our patients, remaining firm in our commitment to raise awareness of the disease and sensitize society.

Therefore, next week, Dr. Navarro and Joana Segovia will star in a Virtual Endometriosis Meeting in which they will address the main concerns of patients and will provide advice on maintaining healthy habits during confinement that promote a healthy immune system.

Do you have a question you'd like to ask Dr. Navarro or nutritionist Yoana Segovia? Ask your question in the comments section of this post and we'll get back to you.

  1. Any anti-inflammatory eating tips for those times when we crave unhealthy food and spend more time on the sofa…?
Congratulations on your initiative, you're the best!! Thank you!!

  2. Good afternoon, I am a patient of Dr. Navarro. I would like to know if patients with endometriosis are considered a high-risk group with respect to COVID-19? Do we need to take any special precautions? We often have a vitamin D deficiency, and COVID-19 patients often do as well. Is there a known prevalence of vitamin D deficiency among endometriosis and COVID-19 patients?
    Thank you

  3. Hello, good afternoon. I'm a woman from Huelva who was recently diagnosed with endometriosis. I'd like to know if there's a connection between this disease and hip bursitis, as well as joint problems in the knee and ankle. Thank you, and best wishes 😉

    1. Good morning Carolina,

The meeting will be recorded on April 15, 2020, and will be available on our YouTube channel, website, and social media at 3:00 PM. If you have any questions, please post them here and we will include them. Best regards.

  4. Good morning,

Is it possible that ovarian endometriosis in its early stages can cause poor oocyte quality without affecting quantity? Or are these two concepts related?

Regarding the nutritionist, I'd like to know if there is any diet that helps improve the symptoms of endometriosis.

  5. Hello! I wanted to ask if endometriosis can be a genetic factor, since my sister and I both have it. Thanks.

  6. Good afternoon,
I have some questions about this topic and I would like to know if it is possible to resolve them:
Can a person with endometriosis get pregnant?
How is endometriosis diagnosed? Sometimes it's said that having a series of symptoms could indicate this condition, but I'd like to know the method that is 100% accurate in diagnosing it.
What is the actual treatment that eradicates this pathology?

    Thank you
    regards

  7. Hello! Good day! I'd like to ask if endometriosis is related to the number and quality of eggs (I have endometriosis and a very high AMH level). I'd also like to know if having a high AMH level is a good sign or if it's related to another condition that might make it even harder for me to get pregnant.

    Thank you very much!

  8. Hello again! I have more questions as I think about it…why does endometriosis cause me so much fatigue? Especially since it starts a week before my period…
According to what I've read on your website, endometriosis doesn't affect egg quality? Only the shape of the reproductive system, which makes pregnancy difficult? And why have I been told in the four IVF cycles I've had, after retrieving a lot of mature eggs (an average of 16), that only 9 fertilize and 2 reach the blastocyst stage, and that only 4 are of poor quality, because my eggs are of low quality due to the endometriosis?

    Thank you very much!

  9. Good afternoon,

I have another question. Is there any test to detect all endometriosis implants in the reproductive system other than laparoscopy? And to check for adenomyosis?

    Thank you
