Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) Course

Inebir is offering a Microinjection Sperm Injection (ICSI) course to train new professionals in this technique. Therefore, the training will be primarily hands-on and conducted in very small groups. The course will last 9 hours, spread over 2 days (16:00 PM - 20:30 PM). The first day will include a theoretical presentation of the technique and a visit to the IVF laboratory to familiarize participants with the equipment and observe a practical demonstration.

The second day will be entirely dedicated to hands-on training; the students themselves will perform the technique under the supervision of a professional.

Program

Day 1
Theoretical aspects of the sperm microinjection technique.
Coffee Break.
Laboratory entrance: precautions and laboratory access protocol.
Presentation of the different equipment and explanation of the technique within the laboratory through a practical example.

Day 2
Hands-on ICSI: Students will practice everything they learned the previous day under supervision. They will learn how to prepare the ICSI plate, place the micropipettes in the inverted microscope, and adjust the optics. In addition, the student will select and capture sperm and microinject several oocytes.
