Specialized course in gamete vitrification and devitrification

Inebir is offering a specialized course on Gamete Vitrification and Devitrification. The aim is for students to learn how to perform the technique, so the course will be conducted in very small groups and will have a highly practical focus. The first day will include a theoretical introduction to the vitrification and devitrification processes, presentations of the options offered by different manufacturers, and an explanation of the various existing protocols.

The second day will be entirely dedicated to the vitrification of embryos and oocytes.
The final day will be dedicated entirely to blastocyst vitrification. The conclusions will be presented and all questions answered during the last half hour.

Program

Day 1
16:00 Presentation: Introduction to the course and brief presentation of the trajectory of the INEBIR assisted reproduction clinic.
16:30 Vitrification Systems: slow freezing vs vitrification.
17:30 Coffee Break.
17:45 Vitrification systems (from different manufacturers); and vitrification systems for oocytes, embryos, blastocysts, and ovarian tissue. Detailed explanation of the various protocols available on the market.

Day 2
16:00 Workshop: Vitrification and devitrification of embryos on day 3 of development.
17:45 Coffee Break.
18:00 Workshop: Oocyte vitrification.

Day 3
16:00 Workshop: Blastocyst vitrification. Blastocyst collapse in the micromanipulator and vitrification and devitrification of these.
19:15 Coffee Break.
19:30 Conclusions and closing of the course.
